Bilateral Total Hip Replacement as a Single Operative Procedure

Abstract
In a 57-year-old man suffering from the avascular necrosis of both femoral heads, one stage bilateral total hip replacement of Charnley type was performed with uneventful operative procedure and immediate postoperative course.
The advantages of this procedure can be. summarized as the shortened hospitalization and rehabilitation period-with- consequent earlier return to a functional ambulatory life and the lowered chance of the operative risks and-the greater trochanter trouble.
